You’re probably asking yourself... “This all sounds great, but how does it work and what’s the catch?”
Before I explain to you “how it works” and “what the catch is,” (ummm, there’s not really a catch?) on behalf of my father, let me introduce us, we are Bob and Bobby Hernandez (yes, father and son). We have worked with thousands of kids for over 29 years and we would be humbled to work with yours! We’re fortunate to say that we are now teaching kids whose parents trained in our program years ago.
Hernandez Martial Arts was started back in 1980 and is the oldest and longest running martial arts school and one of the longest running businesses for that matter in Union City’s History. We have been written up in National Magazines, received numerous awards and my father was even elected into the National Black Belt Hall of Fame.
Enough about us, we’re not trying to impress you but impress upon you that our biggest accomplishments have all been made by our students whether it was achieving better grades in school, creating harmony at home, learning to stand up for themselves or leaving negative friends and influences behind; The List Is Enormous! During the Trial Program you and your child will be introduced to our martial arts program, your child will learn various blocks, punches and kicks, a few basic self-defense techniques for self-defense situations only and we’ll also talk to them about the other benefits they’ll receive out of their martial arts program such as Respect, Responsibility, Self-Discipline, Confidence, Self-Esteem, Focus and Concentration to name a few.

My Family Is Busy, Can We Fit The Classes In?
Your child will attend classes two times per week so they will have plenty of time to be a kid and keep up on school work. We run classes almost everyday of the week so you’ll be able to choose the days and times YOU want to attend so it will coincide with your schedule. After your child starts and say you have to miss a class due to sickness, too much homework, baseball or soccer practice, a doctor’s appointment or you’re stuck at work… No Problem! We offer a comprehensive “make up” program and we also offer a redundant curriculum; meaning we teach the same thing two nights in one week so your child will never miss out on anything!
